Writing Exercises
For each writing assignment, fill two full pages of writing. Practice writing both description and reflection together.
Required Assignment:
Pick three items in your room.
Explain their significance to you, your family, etc. Why are they in your room? How long have you had them? What were the circumstances around getting them? Will you take them when you move out?

1. List what kinds of music you listen to the most. Explain why they are your favorites or why they are so important to you. What songs/artists do you listen to at important times in your life? What songs/artists do you listen to to change your mood?
2. How do other people describe you? Think about friends, family, teachers, classmates, co-workers, teammates. Are they accurate? Why or why not?
3. What is something important you have learned that didn’t come out of a book?
