History and Allusion Research
The best writers draw on vast resources of knowledge as they make their arguments. In order to truly appreciate the depth of understand and the profundity found in the best writing, readers must share common knowledge with the writer. As a new academic reader, you will research the examples of history and the allusions that are unfamiliar to you. Your assignment will have three parts:
1. Briefly explain what you have chosen to research. Be sure to quote when necessary. You can also summarize larger sections of essays if that makes sense. Also briefly explain why you made that selection.
2. In a sufficient paragraph (this is an AP class!!), summarize the new information that you have learned. Include as much new information as you want to. Be curious and satisfy your questions.
3. Briefly explain how your new understanding changes the way that you read the essay.
This assignment should be written in MLA format. It should be at least two full pages. You must also include a Works Cited page. You only need one resource; however, you are free to use more. You will use Turn It In to submit each assignment.
