The Yearbook Assignment -
End of Year Final
You will be collecting experiences all year long that will force you to try new things, meet new people, get adventurous. You will be required to choose experiences that will be gathered and organized into a yearbook. This yearbook will be your final project for the year. You may choose your yearbook's format: a scrapbook/album or a website (if you have something else, let me know). Check this page often to make sure you're staying up with this assignment.

"Tout Your T" Experiences - Based on building school spirit
Each semester you will choose activities that help you participate in all the great things available at your school. You will choose one academic activity and one school culture activity each semester. I hope you'll do more on your own.
First semester, these were required. You could choose what you used for either academic or school culture. As a class, we participated in Homecoming Week. If you have proof that you dressed up, you can use that with a reflection. The Academic experience was up to you to create.
Second semester, I did not require these. If you include significant experiences for either category, I will give you extra credit.

Semester One Experiences - Based on seizing the day
Each triad you will choose from a list of experiences that will challenge you to be adventurous or courageous or silly.
We skipped Triad Three because of the research paper first semester. Only Triad One and Two required. Proof and reflections for everything.

Each triad you will still choose from lists of experiences that will ask you to be better somehow.
First period was excused from Triad Four. Everyone did Triad Five. We skipped the last Triad because of finishing the book. As always, proof and reflection required.

The personal experiences are things that you want to remember, were significant, or just plain cool that are not already required in another category. You are required to include some things from this category.

Presenting your yearbook
When you present your yearbook, you will do the following:
1. Briefly go through the entire yearbook showing each experience and telling us which one you did. Show us that it is there.
2. Choose one experience from each of the categories above to explain more fully. You will show us the proof and reflect on the experience. No. You aren't going to read your reflection to us. Rather, you are going to speak for a bit explaining the experience and reflecting on what you learned or how if affected you, etc.
3. Your final thought is a reflection on leaving high school, plans for the future, overall thoughts about high school. Be thoughtful and reflective here. A quick "It was lame" or "It was fine" is neither thoughtful nor reflective. This is a part of the presentation grade. Give it some thought.
4. You must be prepared on your sign up time to share the yearbook in whatever medium you chose. If you are absent or not ready, you will not be given an opportunity to make it up. This is your final Performance Assessment for this class. YOU MUST BE PRESENT.
